SYSTEM FOR THE CONTROL OF THE TEMPERATURE OF BIOLOGICAL SAMPLES
Systems of protection and transport of biological samples
During transport the samples are subjected to different climatic conditions and different temperatures (for example in summer if the samples are transported in non-refrigerated vans they can reach high temperatures risking hemolysis of the sample).
For this reason our company proposes this simple temperature monitoring system that allows the laboratory operator to check if the samples have been transported correctly or if they have been altered due to excessively high temperatures.
In addition, in December 2016 the Lombardy Region approved with Resolution No. X / 6006 of 19/12/2016 the new provisions regarding the appropriateness and methods of providing healthcare services in the outpatient and hospitalization setting, including in Annex 6 “At least randomly, methods of checking the storage temperature of the samples during transport must be activated, capable of documenting the results and describing the actions to be taken in the event of the occurrence of unacceptable conditions”.
01. The temperature recorder mod. CT 228
The temperature recorder mod. CT 228 has been studied and manufactured with high quality and at a low cost. This compact unit, in addition to being portable and easy to use, allows the acquisition of up to 8000 different measurements with data storage, this offers the maximum guarantee of conservation of the acquired parameters. The data is transferred to the computer by means of the appropriate RS 232 or USB interface, where they can be stored, displayed in graphic form or analyzed. The CT228 ALERT indicator warns if the temperature set in the range exceeds the limits set by the operator. The options provided with the program allow the exclusion of an incorrect alarm. Through the warning light, the operator shall ensure the proper shipping status.
CT228 provides the following information:
– instant and visual warning: if a temperature measurement is outside the set range, a flashing red light warns the operator;
– data acquisition: the data can be transferred to a PC in a few seconds, providing an instant analysis of the transport conditions.

02. The temperature recorder mod. CT 228-USB
The temperature recorder mod. CT 228-USB is an evolution of the CT228 and has been designed and built with high quality and at a low cost and does not require additional hardware for operation.
This compact unit, in addition to being portable and easy to use, allows the acquisition of up to 16,129 different measurements with data storage, this offers the maximum guarantee of conservation of the acquired parameters.
The data is transferred to the computer by means of the appropriate USB interface, where it can be stored, displayed in graphic form or analyzed. The CT228-USB ALERT indicator warns if the temperature set in the range exceeds the limits set by the operator. The options provided with the program allow the exclusion of an incorrect alarm. Through the alarm light, the operator makes sure of the correct transport condition.

03. The temperature recorder mod. CTMON30-7R
The temperature recorder mod. CTMON30-7R In addition to the USB connection, CTMON30-7R has also integrated a display to view temperatures in real time, the latest temperatures recorded and the alarm status of up to 6 alarms (configurable) and has been designed and built with high quality and at a low cost. it does not require additional hardware for operation. This compact unit, in addition to being portable and easy to use, allows the acquisition of up to 16,129 different measurements with data storage, this offers the maximum guarantee of conservation of the acquired parameters. The data is transferred to the computer by means of the appropriate USB interface, where it can be stored, displayed in graphic form or analyzed. The alarm is shown on the display with the X symbol and warns if the temperature set in the range exceeds the limits set by the operator. The options provided with the program allow the exclusion of an incorrect alarm.
CTMON30-7R provides the following information:
– instantaneous temperature information shown on the display;
– instant and visual warning: if a temperature measurement is out of the set range, the X symbol warns the operator who can view the alarm history directly on the display;
– data acquisition: the data can be transferred to a PC in a few seconds, providing an instant analysis of the transport conditions.
